On Saturday October 2nd, the first annual Autumn Evening Classic will take place at Victory Baptist Church in London, KY. All proceeds from this event will benefit Cumberland Homeschool Athletic Teams(CHAT). Registration will begin at 4:00PM. The 3K (1.86 miles) will start at 5:15PM and the 7K (4.35 miles) will begin at 5:45PM. Cost for pre-registered runners is $12.00 for 1 race or $17.00 for both. Late registration (after 9/24) will be $15.00 per race or $20.00 for both. To have an entry form e-mailed to you, contact Verne Kern at 44chat@gmail.com or 606-682-0292. The 3K course is fairly flat, fast out and back. The 7K is a challenging rolling loop with several hills. Come on out to London and join us for a evening of running to support a great cause. CHAT is a recently formed group in the Cumberland area. Homeschool students have very limited opportunities to compete in sports. CHAT currently has a cross country team that has competed in several meets. A basketball team will be fielded this fall, as well as a track team in the spring. These teams all have costs that this event will help fund. We hope to see you on the 2nd of October. Welcome to C.H.A.T
Welcome to Cumberland Home school Athletic Teams or C.H.A.T for short. Our goal is to offer home school students in the Cumberland area an opportunity to participate at the junior high and high school level in various sports, while displaying a Christ like attitude. As of now we are pleased to announce that we will field a cross country team for the 2010 season. we will be participating in approximately 6-8 meets in Tennessee. We hope to offer other sports in the future. Please keep our inaugural season in your prayers.
